Introducing “Protect The Diaspora” (Acrylic on canvas) 36x24in. (2025) This painting was inspired by some of the taste makers and real influencers and muses of Black American History but really American History in general. I think connecting that contemporary Marvel's Black Panther only highlights that very birth of that energy that inspired that ground breaking comic book character. To break through, to endure, but to remain beautiful with your own true style is what these real life figures lived, not just an idea but a lifestyle.  (Prints Available Now) ORDER AT: Email-Jordanboardan@hotmail.com

LIFE art Painting Artist Painter Hope

Introducing : “LIFE” 2025-48x75in (Commissioned Art from Local Hospital St. Francis Topeka, Kansas Cancer Center) Thank you to the Figge Family!

“This project came to me in a time of inspiration and need. As I have been diagnosed with Multiple myeloma a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. Healthy plasma cells help fight infections by making proteins called antibodies. Antibodies find and attack germs. I have been currently fighting it for over year and have successfully been in remission for over 7 months and finally starting to feel more like myself physically again. To be a part of the cancer society changes your perspectives on life but recently inspired a piece at the end of 2024 as I was in treatment and talking with the amazing staff of St. Francis. I think having a goal, any goal made it easier to recover or look forward towards something. This project was for sure something I completed over 2025 winter, my first large piece ever for a public display but very personal. This piece was funded by a great family, the Figge Family that had been directly affected by the touch of cancer, so the hunter in the orange jacket is directly inspired by that families loss of a great figure in their lives that wanted to truely keep the fight moving forward by simply funding a project that would uplift the lobby area where many spread hours on hours much as I have. So this project kinda was put in my lap to make me stronger to heal for more great projects to come. I am glad to be apart of something my community can appriecate. for more click the link below!

“Jordan E. Brooks is influenced by a wide variety of work ranging from the classical to comic book greats from the 90’s. Brooks’ work focuses on the concept of social awareness and overriding power of social media on our environment. Brooks’ work aims to remind people of their inherent humanity.”

I’ve lived in Topeka and Lawrence, Kansas all my life. Heavily influenced from the campus of KU and an older under lining hippie vibe of that area, my surroundings have affected a lot of my artist purpose, to inspire and create. My website has allowed me to display my own mix of academic design with my own modern, conceptual, provocative socially conscious though drive. In 2011 I had my first international group exhibition at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was honored to become a part of their permanent collection with “Gallery of Hearts”. This only inspired me to move forward! In 2013, I was blessed to be a part of 100 international contemporary artist from all over the world in my first New York exhibition in Historical downtown Harlem. “Power of perception” was the publication produced by this inspiring collection. In 2015 I was honored by my local city (TOPEKA,KANSAS) by becoming the 10th annual Aaron Douglas Artist of the Historical Aaron Douglas Art fair! It was surreal, but a dream to be acknowledged or referred to a childhood hero of mine, but only inspired me to move forward.

You can often find me at my (public art Space @ Amused Art Gallery located in Topeka’s growing Art district N.O.T.O.) From every Art-walk(First-Friday) too where I teach creative drawing lessons weekly! Stop by and visit (907 North Kansas Ave.) in N.O.T.O.! I am working on a new mini collective of paintings more importantly a number of illustration projects all written & designed by me that I am so freaking excited about!!!!! (Illustration page) It is amazing to be a proud recipient of 2018 International Raffaello Award Curated by Salvatore Russo & Francesco Saverio! These recent international/national and local achievements have only intensified my excitement for so much more. In 2018 I was selected to be one of 31 artists to contribute to Artsconnect's Brown Vs Board Mural project (Topeka,KS) Located north of the National parks Brown Vs Board Education Museum. It's been a pleasure to work on carrying out the vision of Michael Toombs and his amazing supportive Kansas City artisans. Support for NOTO arts center and Shawnee county parks, I have had the pleasure of having my own mural Located in NOTO’s Veteran Park walkway. In mid 2021 a random public art piece was lucky enough to capture national attention inspired by BLACK LIVES MATTER, inspired by the killing of “George Floyd”. I couldn’t take it so I painted a piece on an abandoned building that was picked up by the news and published with many beautiful human messages in USA TODAY.COM. Gaining international attention is great but only fuels me for more to come! I have been lucky to have received Interntaional Prize Donatello Italian Art award 2023! Curated by Salvatore Russo & Francesco Saverio ,appreciate the Italian support in my Art career! I am planning on doing some European traveling so more projects and opportunities to showcase my talents to the other side of the globe personally! It's nice to have your expressions embraced by the community and beyond! I am currently working on a new project "What Black America Means to Me” collective of art & short writings as well as my first children's book illustrated and written by me. I am hoping for a late 2023 release titled “The Artist Who Found His Colors”. Its great to start off 2023 Summer with probably my most prestigious Art Award today! I am honored to be a recipient of the ZEUS International Art Award! Appreication to Accademia “Italia in Arte nel Mondo” Associazione Culturale! I will be also travel to Italy,Rome this summer, to strengthen my Italian connections as well as just enjoy life and a culture that has always encourged my career!
